AI Policy For Authors
Multiverse Journal (MVJ) requires full transparency regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in manuscript preparation. Authors must disclose any use of generative AI tools, software, or related technologies when preparing their manuscripts.
1. Disclosure of AI Use
If AI tools are used at any stage of manuscript preparation, authors must provide a clear statement in the Materials and Methods section or in Acknowledgment/Supplementary Information. The disclosure must include:
- The name of the AI tool, including model or version
- The software version and date of use
- A brief description of the prompt, query, or process used
2. Acceptable Use of AI
AI tools may only be used for language-related assistance, including improving readability, grammar, clarity, or translation quality. Use of AI to generate research content, produce data, conduct analysis, or interpret results is strictly prohibited.
3. Author Responsibility
Human authors are fully responsible for the originality, validity, and integrity of the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authors must verify, edit, and approve all content, ensuring compliance with MVJ ethical standards.
4. Use of AI in Figures and Images
AI-generated or AI-altered figures, images, or illustrations are not allowed, except when essential to the research methodology. In such cases, authors must clearly state in the Methods section:
- The AI tool used
- The version
- The purpose of its use
Use of AI-assisted tools for creating graphs, charts, or visualizations from authors’ own data is allowed, provided the outputs accurately represent the data.
5. Consequences of Non-Disclosure
Failure to disclose AI use is a breach of publication ethics. Violations may result in rejection, retraction, or other disciplinary actions as determined by the MVJ Editorial Board. MVJ reserves the right to screen manuscripts for AI-generated content using validated detection tools.
